Purpose
This Market Access Advice (MAA) is to advise industry to withhold requests for honey and edible apiculture product certificates for export to the European Union (EU) on 15 and 16 of June 2024.
Summary of key points
The EU published Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2744 which amended model export health certificates.
The health certificate amendments do not impact the export requirements for honey and honey products to the EU. The department template number (EUH1EX) has not changed and the health certificate will continue to be issued through NEXDOC.
The change is only administrative.
To configure and implement the required certificate changes in NEXDOC, per the new EU models, a system update is required. This update is scheduled on the night on 16 June 2024. Therefore, honey and honey product certificates to EU will not be available on 15 and 16 of June 2024.
