Purpose

This Market Access Advice (MAA) is to notify exporters of new market access for honey and edible apiculture products to Vietnam.

Summary of key points

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has negotiated new market access for honey and edible apiculture products into Vietnam with Vietnam’s Department of Animal Health (DAH).

DAH has approved the export of the below products from Australia into Vietnam:

  • Honey
  • Edible apiculture products

A new health certificate for the export of the above honey and edible apiculture products to Vietnam, HVT1 with endorsement 9002, will be available through the Next Export Documentation System (NEXDOC) from 8 March 2024. Micor will be updated to reflect this market access advice.

The department encourages users of Micor to subscribe to the Micor update service for a commodity specific email that lists changes that have been made in the preceding week.

Exporters are encouraged to work closely with their importers to ensure all importing country requirements for their product are met.
