Purpose
To notify exporters of changes to the export certificate requirements for honey and composite products into the European Union from 15 June 2022. The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has updated the certificate templates for the export of these products.
Summary of key points
- The European Union (EU) implemented new requirements for health certification for certain commodities as published on Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/36.
- Export certificates for these commodities issued on or after 16 June 2022 must meet the new EU requirements.
- On 16 June 2022, the department has revised and updated the following certificate templates in accordance with the new EU requirements:

- Outdated certificate templates signed on or after 16 June 2022 will not be accepted at EU ports.
- If you export the above products, please ensure you have the updated certificate templates. The new certificates can be identified by the date at the bottom of each page, in this case 06-22. The latest certificate templates can be requested through foodexports@awe.gov.au.
