Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to advise industry stakeholders and Authorised Officers of the 2022 23 end of year closure office arrangements for the department and the non-prescribed goods export program.
Summary of changes and key points
- The department’s Canberra offices will be closed from close of business Friday, 23 December 2022, reopening on Tuesday morning, 3 January 2023.
- The Non-prescribed Goods inbox will only be monitored on a limited basis for urgent issues over this period. Should you have any queries ahead of this time, please contact Non-Prescribed Goods.
- The department’s general enquiry line 1800 900 090 will be available as follows:
- Closed from close of business Friday, 23 December through to Tuesday, 27 December 2022
- Open from Wednesday, 28 December to Friday, 30 December 2022
- Closed on Monday, 2 January 2023 and reopen for normal business from Tuesday, 3 January 2023 onwards.
- All regional offices and major ports will be available on a limited basis as follows:
- Closed from close of business Friday, 23 December through to Tuesday, 27 December 2022
- Open from Wednesday, 28 December to Friday, 30 December 2022
- Closed on Monday, 2 January 2023 and reopen for normal business from Tuesday, 3 January 2023 onwards.

Assessment Services Exports
- Assessment Services Exports will be closed on the following days:
- Monday, 26 December and Tuesday, 27 December 2022
