- The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment will be implementing NEXDOC for honey and apiculture products in phases with more countries and certificates to follow.
- Exporters of honey and apiculture products to other markets, will continue with the current manual application form - Application for a government export certificate for non-prescribed goods - until the relevant market is moved to NEXDOC.
- The department will publish additional IANs advising when NEXDOC is available for exporters to register and request export certificates and when more markets are moved to NEXDOC.
- To find out more on NEXDOC or how to register, visit NEXDOC.
Background
- The Australian Government is focused on growing Australian agriculture by reforming export functions and services.
- A key part of this work is improving and updating how the department manages export documentation. This includes modernising certification by progressively moving to an electronic certification system and phasing out the manual certification application processes for export.
- The NEXDOC system provides Australian exporters with improved product traceability, automates many processes that are manual and enables better self-service.
- Overall, NEXDOC will make exporting quicker and easier.
