Purpose
This Industry Advice Notice (IAN) is to invite exporters of non-prescribed goods (NPGs) to express interest in participating in future research activities of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment focussed on improving the experience of exporters.
Key points
The department is working on improving your experience of exporting from Australia. The first stage is to understand what it is like to go through the exporting process now. Your view will help us make our services easy, effective, supportive, and clear.
The department wants to hear from a range of exporters, recognising that exporters’ experiences and perspectives can be different depending on the exported commodity or destination market. While the department’s research activities and research panel is not specific to NPGs, our research activities would benefit from the unique perspectives of those who export these goods.
Expressing interest will help the department build a list of exporters who want to participate in research activities over the next two years. You can opt out at any time.
The research activities form part of the Agriculture Trade Reform agenda. For more information on the broad program of work visit awe.gov.au/biosecurity-trade/market-access-trade/transforming-export-services.
Exporters of NPGs can express their interest in being a part of the research activities through our online form, available at the following link: haveyoursay.awe.gov.au/trade-reform-research-panel.
