- poultry meat and poultry meat products
- rabbit and ratite meat and rabbit and ratite meat products
- wild game meat and wild game meat products
Requirements
The Have Your Say public consultation on the amendments to the export control rules has opened and is now live on the department website.
The department is seeking your feedback on our proposed amendments to the Export Control Rules 2021. There are information sheets outlining the proposed improvements for each export control rule involving animals, meat, organic goods, plants, poultry meat, rabbit and ratite meat, and wild game meat.
The 4 meat commodity rules (meat, poultry meat, ratite meat, wild game meat) proposed changes relate to official marks.
The closing date for the consultation is Friday, 20 January 2023.
We continually review the Export Control Rules to ensure the framework remains fit-for-purpose and meets the needs of exporters. We now invite your feedback on the further proposed improvements to the Rules. We will use your feedback to make sure the Rules continue to meet the needs of Australian exporters and support the export of our agricultural goods.
