The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (the department) has been advised by the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and the Environment (DPIPWE), Tasmania, that rock lobster analysis results for the Maria Island zone have returned paralytic shellfish toxin (PST) results below regulatory levels.
MARIA ISLAND ZONE TO OPEN
Maria Island zone will open on Friday 21 December 2018.
Recreational and Commercial Fishers can set pots from 5pm, Thursday 20 December 2018.
The zone is open to fishing (pulling pots, rings or diving) from 00:01 Friday 21 December 2018.
