The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), provides the following information regarding changes to market access requirements for Croatia:
As a result of Croatia’s accession to the European Union (EU) on 1 July 2013, all export certification issued by DAFF for products destined for Croatia must be in accordance with relevant EU regulations.
Croatian language certification is currently being developed by the EU and DAFF will develop English-Croatian language certificates as information becomes available. DAFF understands that English language only certificates may be accepted by Croatian authorities prior to the new bilingual certificates becoming available.
Exporters are advised to seek clarification through their importer prior to export as to whether their consignment will be accepted into Croatia on an English language only certificate.
