Purpose
This Market Access Advice (MAA) is to advise industry of certificate updates for the export of fish and fish product certificates to the European Union (EU).
Summary of key points
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry will be updating health certificates for the export of fish and fish products to the EU between the 11th and 15th of June 2024.
The updates follow publication of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2744 which amended model export health certificates.
The changes are editorial only (updates to regulation numbers and minor wording changes) and do not change the process exporters need to follow in raising a Request for Permit (RFP) to obtain health certification. Certification template numbers have not changed.
The new EU models will transition into the EXDOC production environment between 11th and 15th June 2024. All certificates will remain available during this time.
