Purpose
To notify registered export establishments and exporters of the availability of health certificates for the export fish and fish products to Morocco from 10 March 2022.
Summary of key points
- The department has negotiated with Morocco’s Office National de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits Alimentaires (ONSSA) export certification for the export of fin fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
- From 10 March 2022, exporters may request the M587 certificate template for the export of fin fish. The M588 template is available for the export of crustaceans and molluscs.
- The department recommends exporters confirm with their importers regarding the eligibility of specific products and requirement for an import permit prior to export.
- The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) will be updated to reflect the new market access.
