Purpose
To provide information on raising a Request for Permit (RFP) using the department’s electronic documentation system (EXDOC) and requesting health certificate for the export of fishery products to Spain, using certificate template FEES1A.
Summary of key points
- For fishery products for direct export to Spain that would otherwise be certified under the English only certificate template FEEN1A, the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment advises on the use of English/Spanish bilingual certificate template FEES1A.
- When raising a RFP for the following products for direct export to Spain, please use the FEES1A certificate template.
- Non-viable crustaceans that are susceptible to white spot disease;
- Non-viable crustaceans that are susceptible to all of the following diseases: Taura syndrome, yellowhead disease and white spot disease;
- Non-viable, eviscerated finfish (and products thereof) for human consumption that are not susceptible to exotic disease of concern to the EU;
- Non-viable whole finfish for further processing that are not susceptible to exotic diseases of concern to the EU;
- Non-viable finfish in retail ready packs that are not susceptible to exotic disease of concern to the EU;
- Non-viable molluscs, tunicates and echinoderms.
- Batch number must be entered separately into the ‘additional product description’ field at the time of raising an RFP. It is to be entered as the processing date in the format of DD-MMM-YYYY (e.g. 29-MAY-2020).
Background
- The department has received advice from Spain that the batch number for fishery products must be entered on the health certificate as an alphanumeric code.
- The department has developed a specific health certificate template FEES1A for the export of fishery products to Spain.
The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (MICoR) will be updated to reflect this Market Access Advice.
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment encourages all exporters to work with their importer to ensure that product meets the current importing country requirements.
