Purpose
To notify exporters of changes to export certification for Australian bivalve molluscs exported to Taiwan.
Summary of key points
- Taiwan has brought in new requirements for the harvest area to be displayed on health certification that accompanies bivalve molluscs imported into Taiwan.
- Bivalve molluscs of aquaculture origin will continue to be exported on the FX46 certificate.
- Bivalve molluscs of wild origin should now be exported on the FX46T certificate.
- From 22 December 2017, exporters should use the FX46T certificate for bivalve molluscs of wild origin.
- The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (MICoR) will be updated to reflect these changes.
