Background
New Zealand’s Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) released in January 2018 a new import health standard (IHS) for the import of egg and egg products (EGGSPRODS.GEN). MPI agreed to permit egg and egg products exported from Australia to New Zealand to continue to be exported on the established documentation until revised documentation that met the new IHS could be finalised between MPI and the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.
MPI and the department agreed on 23 October 2018 on documentation for the export of egg products that complies with the new import health standard EGGSPRODS.GEN. This documentation is now available through the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor).
