Purpose
To notify exporters of a change in certificate templates and attestations used for food exported to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Change to export certificates to Saudi Arabia —effective 27 March 2018
From 27 March 2018, the following certificate templates must be issued for food exported to Saudi Arabia:
- Health Certificate for the Export of Milk and Milk Products for Human Consumption (ZDSA1)
- Health Certificate for the Export of Table Eggs and Egg Products (EX46SA)
- Health Certificate for the Export of Aquatic Animal Origin (Fish and Fish Products, including Molluscs, Crustaceans and Echinoderms) (FX46SA)
- Health Certificate for the Export of Assorted Foods (AFSA1) – manual certificate
- Health Certificate for the Export of Honey and Bee Products (HSA1) – manual certificate
For dairy, eggs and fish exports the Expiry Date must be entered into the department’s electronic documentation system, currently expressed as the ‘Durability Date’.
The Health Certificate for the Export of Assorted Foods (AFSA1) is to be used for processed foods when requested by Saudi authorities. This is in place of the EX188B.
Change to export certificates to Qatar —effective 27 March 2018
From 27 March 2018, the listed certificate templates will be issued through the department’s electronic documentation system (EXDOC) for food exported to Qatar:
- Health Certificate for the Export of Milk and Milk Products for Human Consumption (ZDQT1)
- Health Certificate for the Export of Table Eggs and Egg Products (EX46QT)
- Health Certificate for the Export of Aquatic Animal Origin (Fish and Fish Products, including Molluscs, Crustaceans and Echinoderms) (FX46QT)
- Health Certificate for the Export of Assorted Foods (AFQT1) – manual certificate
- Health Certificate for the Export of Honey and Bee Products (HQT1) – manual certificate
The Health Certificate for the Export of Assorted Foods (AFQT1) is to be used for processed foods when requested by Qatari authorities. This is in place of the EX188B.
The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (MICoR) will be updated to reflect the changes.
