Purpose
This Market Access Advice is to notify industry of the availability of a new transit certificate (ZDTRT) for use when exporting milk and milk products transiting through Türkiye.
Key points
- Türkiye adopts EU certificate requirements for milk and milk products entering or transiting Türkiye enroute to a final destination.
- A transit certificate is required for milk and milk products transiting through Türkiye.
- The date of signature on the health certificate and the transit certificate must match.
- The certificates must be signed and dated on, or before, the date of departure.
- The department has developed a new transit certificate (ZDTRT) based on Türkiye’s importing country requirements, which is now available for use.
- Exporters should communicate with their importer to confirm all certification requirements have been met before the goods leave Australia.
- The department encourages exporters to visit the Manual of Importing Country Requirements (Micor) for Türkiye for further details on certification requirements.
