Purpose
To notify dairy stakeholders of detained consignments in China due to eCert issues.
Summary of Key Points
There has been a number of detained consignments across multiple ports in China due to system issues affecting the exchange of electronic certification (eCert).
As a result of these issues, there has been a delay in the clearance of affected consignments, however, the department has been able to achieve release through facilitation and discussions with China.
If you experience port of entry issues with consignments into China as a result of issues with electronic certification, please contact exdoc.helpdesk@aff.gov.au or nexdoc@aff.gov.au with details including:
- Certificate number/Copy of health certificate
- Importer contact details
- Port where consignment is detained
- Any official correspondence received from China customs
These details will assist the department in facilitating consignment release.
