- State regulatory authorities
- Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) – Central and Regional offices
Purpose
To notify dairy stakeholders of the updated implementation date for the dairy category code and dairy establishment registration operations for manufacturers review.
Key Points
Further to IAN 2022-20, the new dairy category codes being implemented by the department as an outcome of the dairy category code review, will be available for use in the next export documentation (NEXDOC) system in early 2023, rather than from 26 September 2022 as previously advised.
As a reminder, the updated dairy category code list can be found in IAN 2022-18 and from early 2023, an up to date list of dairy category codes will be available on the department’s website.
As previously advised via IAN 2022-22, the department has also reviewed its registered operations applied to dairy export manufacturing establishments. If you have not yet notified the department of any operations that are applicable to your manufacturing establishment’s registration, please do so by 23 September 2022.
The department will confirm that your approved arrangement includes these approved manufacturing functions before they are added to your export registration. Once confirmation is received, they will be added to your establishment’s registration and a new export registration certificate will be generated and distributed to reflect this update.
