Summary of key points
The department has recently been advised by the Australian Border Force of upcoming changes to AHECC codes. AHECC code 04031000 will be replaced by 04032001 on 1 January 2022. This code relates to yoghurt products. The coding in the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system will be changed accordingly.
If you experience difficulties with export documentation concerning changes to these dairy products from 1 January 2022 – please ensure you are using the correct AHECC code before calling the NEXDOC Helpdesk.
The AHECC tables can be found at: Australian Harmonized Export Commodity Classification (AHECC). Chapter 4 and Chapter 4 notes are relevant to dairy.
