Purpose
Further to the previous MAA2021-05, this Market Access Advice provides an update on the Republic of the Philippines agreement to temporarily remove the paper health certificate requirement for dairy and dairy products exported from Australia.
From 9 March 2021, certification is being issued electronically via eCert platform and will keep continuing until further notice.
Summary of key points
The department has sought clarification from the Republic of the Philippines’s Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) in line with Memorandum Circular 13, that it will continue to accept paperless trade electronic certification (eCert) for all dairy and dairy products exported from Australia beyond the previously agreed trial period ending 31 May 2021.
The issuing of health certificates via eCert will continue to apply to all Requests for Export (REXs) until further notice.
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment encourages all exporters to work with their importer to ensure that product meets the current importing country requirements.
The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment encourages all exporters to refer back MAA2021-05 for more details.
Exporters encountering any difficulties with the acceptance of paperless eCert trade following implementation should contact the department via foodexportdocumentation@awe.gov.au.
