Purpose
To notify stakeholders that the Next Export Documentation (NEXDOC) system will replace the Export Documentation (EXDOC) system for dairy from Monday 17 May 2021. This will result in changes to printing certificates and will also require you to register for NEXDOC.
Key points
The NEXDOC system will go live for dairy on Monday 17 May 2021 and there will be changes to the way you currently print dairy certificates.
When you register for NEXDOC, you can opt to be assessed for remote print (my printer). If you have been approved for remote print, dairy certificates will be printed on plain (white A4) paper and security paper will no longer be required. NEXDOC will generate your dairy export certification with a unique QR code as well as the certificate number.
From Monday 14 June 2021, if you have any unused blue security paper, please return it to your nearest regional office. Please note, all other commodity certificates will still be required to print on blue security paper through EXDOC.
You will have until close of business Sunday 13 June 2021 to finalise any existing dairy RFP’s in EXDOC before the system is closed for dairy. This does not apply to China certification and a separate industry advice notice has been issued on this at 2021-11.
Registration reminder
If you are using a third-party software, please ensure you discuss the transition from EXDOC to NEXDOC with your software provider.
The NEXDOC online services portal will go live on Monday 31 May. Please note, if you are using the NEXDOC portal, you will need to use Google Chrome or Edge browsers. Internet Explorer will not support the NEXDOC system.
You will need to register to use NEXDOC for dairy as a client group (formally known as an EDI user) and if required, export user. Please ensure that you complete your registration through either the online services portal or via the application form which can be found on the transitioning commodities to NEXDOC page. For more information on how to register you can visit the NEXDOC help page.
Automated export permit issuers
If you are an existing authorised AQA user in EXDOC, when you register as a client group or exporter in NEXDOC, you will be also given the permission as an automated export permit issuer (AEPI) for NEXDOC.
If you would like to become a new AEPI in NEXDOC, you will first need to register as a client group or exporter and in addition, register as an AEPI.
Tokens
Closer to the release of NEXDOC, the department will issue all registered NEXDOC users with their requested tokens. You will need to go into the online services portal and retrieve your tokens. Tokens cannot be used until your third-party software package that will communicate with NEXDOC goes live on 17 May 2021.
During this process, you may be asked for the same information more than once. This is because these requests can be processed in isolation.
Software users
The department continues to work with software providers and have advised them of the changes to key dates in relation to the rollout of NEXDOC for dairy.
It is important that you also work closely with your software provider to ensure that your system needs are met, and you are well positioned to commence using NEXDOC for dairy on 17 May 2021.
