Purpose
To notify exporters that Australia does not currently have an agreed health certificate for exporting dairy products to Ukraine. The department is reviewing the new certificate requirements and will provide further information once the review is completed.
Summary of key points
- On 24 November 2019, Australia’s previously agreed health certificate for the export of dairy products to Ukraine became invalid.
- The department is in the early stages of reviewing the new health certification requirements.
- Any consignments sent prior to the department receiving official approval of a new certificate will be at the commercial risk of the exporter. Products may be detained upon arrival.
- Any exporters interested in exporting dairy products to the Ukraine should contact the department before submitting a Request for Permit (RFP).
- The Manual of Importing Country Requirements (MICoR) will be updated to reflect this change.
