Purpose
To notify exporters, EDI users and manufacturing establishments of upcoming changes to exporter declaration requirements when exporting dairy products.
Exporter declaration for exports of dairy products
Changes have been made to the mandatory exporter declaration requirements for dairy products exported from Australia to Algeria and China.
From 6 December 2019, when applying for an export permit for the countries listed in table 1, exporters will be required to include the mandatory declaration statement in the exporter declaration field.
Exact wording is important, if the declaration is not included or is incomplete or incorrect when requesting an export permit (RFP), an error will occur and the RFP will not progress until it is included.
NATA certificates relating to exported dairy products must be available at audit or if requested by the department.
Country | Product types | Exporter declaration |
---|---|---|
Algeria | All | Milk products in this shipment meet Algerian product testing requirements. Results are supported by NATA certification. |
China | Infant formula (INF) | The infant formula in this RFP complies with Chinese requirements for Cronobacter (Enterobacter) sakazakii and is eligible for entry into China. |
