Purpose
To notify exporters, EDI users and manufacturing establishments of upcoming changes to exporter declaration requirements when exporting dairy products.
Exporter Declaration for exports of dairy products
In an effort to streamline the department’s internal processes and ensure that there are no delays in assessing your export permit application, changes have been made to the mandatory exporter declaration requirements for dairy products exported from Australia.
From 1 March 2018, when applying for an export permit for the countries listed in table 1, exporters will be required to include the mandatory declaration statement in the exporter declaration field.

Please ensure that all shipments of dairy products to the countries listed in table 1 include the applicable declaration. Exact wording is important. If the above declaration is not included in the exporter declaration field when requesting an export permit (RFP), an error will occur and the RFP will not progress until it is included.
