The Tasmanian Hub (TAS Hub) is led by the University of Tasmania (UTAS). The hub builds the capabilities of farmers and rural communities to better prepare for drought. It brings together researchers, farmers, industry, natural resource managers and traditional owners to co-design and implement relevant and innovative solutions.

Funding
The Australian Government is contributing $8 million over 4 years through the Future Drought Fund. Hub partners will provide co-contributions of $13.2 million over 4 years.

TAS Hub and node locations
The core sites are at UTAS Hobart and Launceston campuses. The hub uses pop-up nodes to ensure a presence across Tasmania’s major agricultural regions.
Hub partners have the knowledge and networks to broker opportunities to ensure a strong physical presence where most needed. Pop-up nodes allow the hub to respond to producer and community needs nimbly.
