AWTG 03-22 noted an update from Queensland that the independently facilitated stakeholder advisory group (SAG) has met 7 times this year. The SAG has covered general matters for inclusion in the standards and guidelines and are now considering species-specific matters. To date meetings for cattle and buffalo, pigs and poultry have been convened. The SAG will continue to meet regularly during the last half of 2022.

Queensland is continuing to finalise a consultation regulatory impact statement (CRIS) to seek feedback on the costs, benefits and impacts of the proposed options outlined in the CRIS. Queensland will seek feedback and endorsement from AWTG prior to obtaining approval from the Commonwealth Office of Best Practice Regulation to publicly release the CRIS. Key stakeholders will be directly notified by the AWTG when consultation opens and will be encouraged to share the opportunity with their members and networks.
