35-2018 - Maritime National Coordination Centre – Change of Operating Hours and New Contact Arrangements

Who does this notice affect?

The maritime industry including Shipping Agents, Vessel Masters, Port Operators and related parties.

What is changing?

Maritime National Coordination Centre (MNCC) operating parameters have been reviewed post implementation of the Maritime Arrivals Reporting System (MARS).

On 10th May 2018 the MNCC will implement the following amended operating hours:-

  • Weekdays: 07:00 to 19:00 hours Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
  • Weekends: 09:00 to 17:00 hours (AEST)

These operating hours will be supplemented with an on-call arrangement assistance relating to urgent assessments and biosecurity incidents:

  • Weekdays: 19:00 to 20:30 hours AEST (21:30 hours Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time [AEDST])
  • Weekends: 17:00 to 20:30 hours AEST (21:30 hours AEDST)
