We are currently seeking your feedback on the following Draft Export Control Rules:
You can now read the draft rules and share your feedback online by 31 May 2019.
We will seek feedback as we develop each commodity specific rule throughout 2019.

The Export Control Rules 2020 are based on the current Export Control commodity orders.
The rules will outline the requirements agricultural exporters must meet to export specific commodities, such as:
- where and how products are prepared
- when permits and certificates are necessary to export from Australia.
The rules are a legislative instrument under the improved Export Control Act. They will still be subject to parliamentary checks and balances, in line with the current Orders.
Schedule is current as at
25 February 2019.
