Contact us

To help you comply with your biosecurity obligations, the department has established a team to answer your questions about import conditions and permits. You can contact the team by:

  • Phone: 1800 900 090 or +61 3 8318 6700 (from outside Australia)
  • Email: Imports
  • The ‘Contact Us’ function within BICON.

Bookmark frequently used cases in BICON

You can bookmark frequently used BICON cases, by selecting the Bookmark Options on the right hand side of the BICON screen when you are viewing the import conditions. This function may be useful to support communication of import conditions with offshore providers.

The Bookmark Options screen also provides a permanent link to the current scenario, which you can copy and paste into the ‘ICON Link’ field within the Cargo Online Lodgement Systems (COLS) to support processing of entries.

Stay informed of changes to import conditions

You can stay informed of changes to import conditions through the Alerts & Changes section within BICON. This will include information on disease outbreaks and changes to biosecurity risk management.

If you are interested in changes to a particular case, you can ‘follow’ a BICON case to receive these change notifications via email, once you have registered an account with BICON.

Information about system maintenance will also be available in the News section within BICON.
