Approval to undertake audits is given in accordance with Schedule 10, Part 1, Division II, sub-clause 5.1 of the:
- Export Control (Eggs and Egg Products) Orders 2005
- Export Control (Fish and Fish Products) Orders 2005
- Export Control (Milk and Milk Products) Orders 2005
The list of approved auditors is published in accordance with the above legislation.
Approved auditors are added to the register as they are approved, following successful completion of the approval process.

Registered establishments require pre-approval from the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources to engage the services of an approved auditor.
